"I was looking for something unique," explained Pat Wethy. "Then I remembered the old Coca-Cola tin signs and I thought to base my website from that.
Wethy launched www.MyDreamCatchersStore.com in August 2008 and it boasts a respectable collection of tin signs with iconic logos such as "Route 66," Coca-Cola and Budweiser. The site also has a selection of beautifully crafted sun catchers.
Though the site has only been up and running for a few months, Wethy has already proceeded to push forward with new products and features.
"We're going to have classic American stars and icons like Elvis Presley, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop," said Wethy. "We've have also recently added some new sports, gas and oil, old west, and additional food and candy tin signs."
Wethy has also started a new blog, www.DreamCatcherBlog.com, which has tips on how decorate a home with tin signs and dream catchers, as well as some of the histories of the products that are available in the webstore.
But Wethy is most proud of her customer service, something that has fallen to the wayside with the advent of internet businesses.
"I think that customer satisfaction is where you can be the best," she said. "On most websites, it takes them weeks to answer an e-mail; with me, I do the best that I can to make sure that people get the products they want or their questions answered."
As MyDreamCatchersStore.com begins to gain traction, people who have no idea how to decorate their homes can start by checking out the signs and sun catchers in this store.
